Move between a representation and a research claim

Biology & biotechnology videos

Biotechnology coverage often moves quickly from an interesting biological mechanism to a promised application. These selections slow that transition by distinguishing a molecular animation from a specialized research presentation.

What is being shown, and what is being proposed?

Start with WEHI if your difficulty is picturing molecular processes. Start with Levin’s NeurIPS presentation if you want to consider information processing at the level of developing tissues. The first helps build a visual vocabulary; the second advances a research perspective. In either case, separate the modeled or experimental phenomenon from a proposed engineering use. Demonstrating a mechanism under laboratory conditions is an important step, but not evidence of clinical effectiveness or manufacturability.
